Bio

John’s experience has assisted with the discovery of many kimberlites in the Northwest Territories, Nunavut and Ontario.

John graduated with a degree in Physical Geography from Brock University (1995) and a M.Sc. degree in Earth Sciences (2000) from The University of Western Ontario.

John worked 5 years as a contract Geologist with Monopros/De Beers Exploration based in Yellowknife. He was actively involved with surficial mapping, sampling, ground geophysics, core logging and project management at many properties of interest throughout the Northwest Territories.

In 2006 John joined De Beers Canada Inc. – Exploration team as Project Manager. Over the next sixteen years John was accountable for various greenfield and brownfield projects located throughout the Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Ontario, Quebec, Saskatchewan and the Arctic islands. He has been actively involved with a wide range of activities including technical data reviews, project planning, project logistics, budgeting, reporting, community consultation, hiring of project personnel, surficial mapping, till sampling, prospecting, geophysics, core drilling, large diameter drilling, trenching and project management.

John spent 6 years at the Victor Mine in Ontario whereby he was directly involved with Deposit test and Resource evaluation work on 4 satellite kimberlites of interest.

John’s experience with the identification of mineral trains, surficial deposit mapping, ice movement reconstruction and prospecting has led to the discovery of many kimberlites in the Northwest Territories, Nunavut and Ontario.
