Bio

Hosein supports geophysical exploration programs at Aurora Geosciences, where his responsibilities span from field data acquisition, quality control, and geophysical data processing to inversion and interpretation.

He brings experience in mineral exploration and applied geophysics, conducting and supporting a broad range of geophysical survey methods, including electrical and electromagnetic methods, potential field surveys, ground-penetrating radar, and bathymetric surveys. He works with industry-standard software such as Oasis Montaj, RES2DINV, ArcGIS, and Python-based tools to deliver processed sections, inversion models, and interpretation products. His background combines applied project work for mineral exploration clients with academic research in near-surface geophysics, including the development of custom processing and inversion workflows.

Hosein holds an M.Sc. in Geophysics (Mineral Exploration), and is currently a PhD candidate in Geophysics at Carleton University, where his research focuses on Spectral Induced Polarization (SIP) methods and the dielectric properties of minerals. He is located in Ottawa, Ontario.
