Bio

Shanif is a Senior Project Geologist at Aurora Geosciences with over 15 years of mineral exploration experience across Canada, Kenya, and Angola.

He brings broad exposure to a range of geological environments and exploration settings, with experience across multiple stages of mineral exploration programs.

He has experience across a variety of commodities, including diamonds, base metals, gold, and coal, with a primary focus on kimberlite geology and related rock types such as lamprophyres and other potassic to ultrapotassic systems. His work emphasizes kimberlite exploration and the identification of new kimberlite discoveries.

Shanif holds a M.Sc. in Geology at Western University, is a Registered Professional Geoscientist (EGBC), and is based in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories.
